What began as a holiday gift experiment quickly evolved into a full-time study of peppers,
flavor, and questionable judgment.
Since 2020, we've been growing superhot peppers, developing small-batch artisan sauces, and conducting flavor research deep within the Spice Lab. Every bottle begins with real peppers, real ingredients, and a simple question:
"What happens if we push this just a little further?"
We grow many of our own peppers right here in Wisconsin and source additional ingredients from local farms whenever possible. Because we follow the harvest instead of a corporate recipe book, every batch is a limited edition. When a season's peppers are gone, that particular experiment may never be repeated.

Welcome to the Experimental Division.
Ben's Pain Sauce & Spice Lab began in 2020 as a simple attempt to create a few homemade hot sauces for friends and family. What started as a small holiday project quickly evolved into a full-scale obsession involving superhot peppers, questionable ideas, and an ever-growing collection of experimental recipes.
Today, every bottle is produced in small batches using peppers grown on our Wisconsin pepper farm and ingredients sourced from local growers whenever possible. We believe great hot sauce should deliver more than heat alone. Every experiment begins with flavor, then carefully escalates from there.
Inside the Lab, recipes are developed, tested, refined, and occasionally classified as regrettable successes. Some experiments become customer favorites. Others become cautionary tales. A select few earn permanent residence in the archives.
Our sauces range from approachable everyday flavor enhancers to creations that seem specifically engineered to challenge your decision-making abilities. Each batch is crafted by hand, produced in limited quantities, and available only while supplies last.
We don't mass produce.
We don't follow trends.
We don't make mild promises.
We grow peppers, build recipes, document our findings, and release only the experiments worthy of carrying the Ben's Pain Sauce name.
Some experiments should never leave the laboratory.
